On 23 March 2018, the International Institute for Trade and Development (Public Organization), ITD held seminar on “Key Strategies to Maximizing SEZ Benefits for Cambodia IDP: Deploying Cluster Development Strategies in Special Economic Zones” by cooperation with the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the Department of Industrial Promotion of Thailand (MOI, Thailand) at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel in Kingdom of Cambodia. Dr.Piyaporn Aeimtitiwat, deputy Executive Director of ITD and Mr.Nara Soem, director general of the Ministry of Industry and Handicrafts (Cambodia) opened seminar and welcome participants from Cambodia.
The first part of seminar, Linking National Industrialization Development and SEZ Development with Sustainable FDI by ITD , Current Status of SEZ Development in Cambodia by CDC , Strategies in Transforming Supply Chain Into Value Chain by MOI, Thailand . The second part, Introduction to Cluster Approach and Strategies by MOI, Thailand, Progress of Implementation of the Cambodia Industrial Development Policy 2015 – 20125 and Advance Topic: The Role of GVC, Logistics and Its Policy Implications on Industrial Development Policy by ITD. The participants from Cambodia are interested on this seminar and they get a knowledge and connection in order to working and coordination in the future.
