ITD grandly opens the International Forum,

The International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) hosted the Trade and Development Regional Forum 2022: Futuristic Asia Pacific on 12 October 2022 at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok with an aim to strengthen trade and investment development in the Asia-Pacific region and to expand new networks to create a sustainable economic ecosystem amid the current uncertainty of the global economy.

The International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) continues to develop strong cooperation networks and enhance trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region by organizing the Trade and Development Regional Forum 2022: Futuristic Asia Pacific. The opening ceremony of this international forum was honorably presided over by Dr. Sansern Samalapa, Vice Minister of Commerce. This event intended to build an immunity in the face of the global economic crisis caused by various risk factors, i.e., wars, climate change and emerging diseases, etc. Especially, the COVID-19 pandemic has been recognized as an important turning point for the use of technology to prevent the erosion of trading and investment business from the epidemic, which has severely affected the population around the world.

In the event, Dr. Kobsak Pootrakool, Director and Executive Vice President of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited honorably delivered a keynote on the topic “Welcome to the Future” by projecting a picture of the future world economy, followed by a panel on the topic “Future of Regional MNC”, which presented strategies for doing business in the next 5 – 10 years by both domestic and international experts. Then the forum moved on the panel sessions on the topics “Future of Startup Business” and “Future of Technology” with various experts in startup business and innovative technology for the future world, who were willing to share their experiences on the challenges of doing business. Subsequently, H.E. Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, the former Prime Minister honorably delivered a keynote on the topic “The Future is now” through his perspective and experience on macroeconomic trends, new policies and regulations to shape the new business ecosystem in the region. The forum was ended with the closing remarks on the topic “Future of ITD” by Mr. Manu Sithiprasasana, Executive Director of International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD).

The International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) believes that this forum will mark an important step in the turning point of trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region to build a strong network. In addition, sharing of knowledge and experiences from the country’s executives and key experts will surely inspire new opportunities for business in the future.
