On May 21, 2024, Mr. Suphakit Chareonkul, the Executive Director of the International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD), along with Mr. Wimon Punkong, ITD’s Deputy Executive Director (Academic) and ITD executive, engaged in discussions with Mr. Montri Mahaplerkpong, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries. Also present were representatives from the International Chamber of Commerce – Thailand (ICCT), including Mr. Suriyon Tuchinda, the Secretary General, and Ms. Amonrat Caelim, the General Manager of ICC Thailand. The meeting was convened at the Board Room of the International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD).

The central topic of the meeting was the academic collaboration between ICCT and ITD, aimed at bolstering the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs to meet international trade standards. Both parties anticipate finalizing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) outlining specific academic cooperation initiatives over the next three years.
