On March 8, 2567. The International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD), in collaboration with UNCTAD and AIT Extension, the Asian Institute of Technology, organized a seminar on “Driving Green and Digital Twin Transition for a Low Carbon in Asia and the Pacific” at The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok. The objective was to disseminate knowledge and exchange perspectives and ideas on leveraging digital technology to manage the environment more efficiently, increase productivity, reduce energy consumption, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote economic growth and competitiveness in the country.
On this occasion, Mr. Voravate Chonlasin, Executive Director of AIT Extension, and Director of UNITAR CIFAL Bangkok, and Mr. Suphakit Chareonkul, Executive Director of ITD, were honored to deliver welcoming remarks and open the seminar.
Thailand must elevate its technological infrastructure and prioritize digital skills development while promoting the use of clean and environmentally friendly energy to support both large and small-scale enterprises to compete in the market system. This will have positive effects on the overall economic development of the country.
