On April 24, 2023, in Bangkok, Thailand, Mr. Manu Sithiprasasana, Executive Director of the International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD), and his management team paid a visit to Mr. Wang Liping, the Minister Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to strengthen economic cooperation and promote international trade between China and Thailand.

On this occasion, both sides emphasized the significance of bilateral cooperation, including the Mini Free Trade Agreement between the two countries and regional cooperation such as the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and exchanged their views on matter of mutual interest to Thailand and China, including the promotion of cooperation between the two countries and international trade issues.
