ITD and BRI Experts Research and Exchange Group of China believes that BRI is a win-win regional economy.
On June 13, 2023, the International Institute for Trade and Development (Public Organization) organized a research and academic collaboration meeting with BRI Experts Research and Exchange Group of China at International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD), 8th Floor Vidhayabhathana Building, Chulalongkorn University.
The purpose of the meeting was to conduct discussions and exchanges experiences and achievements of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) cooperation between China and ASEAN, figure out the difficulties and challenges, and exchange views on creating new growth points as well as stabilizing production and supply chains for the next stage.
The following individuals were in attendance led by Mr. Xu Bu, President, China Institute of International Studies, with five other members of BRI Experts Research and Exchange Group of China: Mr. Lin Hongyu, Vice President, Huaqiao University; Mr. Zhai Kun, Professor, School of International Studies, Peking University; Mr. Zhang Jianxin, Deputy Director, Department of Asian Affairs, MFA ; Ms. Mao Yiren, Third Secretary, Department of Asian Affairs, MFA ; and Mrs. Li Jijuan, Counselor, Political Division of Chinese Embassy in Thailand.
While ITD Team was led by Mr. Montri Mahaplerkpong, Member, Board of Directors, ITD, with other members; Mr. Suphakit Chareonkul, Deputy Executive Director (Academic); Ms. Sirikan Prasertying, Director, Office of International Cooperation; Mr. Wimon Punkong, Director, Office of Research Development and Promotion; Lt. Punrop Rajapongsa, Ph.D., Director, Office of Trade and Development Capacity Building; and senior staff members of ITD were also present in the meeting.
