On 9-12 September 2022, Manu Sithiprasasana, Executive Director, along with Ms. Sirikan Prasertying, Director, Office of International Cooperation, attended the 37th Technical Committee meeting (TC-37) and its associated meetings of Centre of Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) from 9-12 September 2022 at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok, Thailand
The Meeting has shared their experiences in implementing the Training Programme on Regional Integrated Rural Development and research on rural development & innovation Governance, Trade and Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific towards the major accomplishments in 2021 – 2022.
Mr. Manu Sithiprasasana has delivered the statement of observer in order to encourage CIRDAP and ITD to collaborate in a way that prioritizes the common good of humanity and global economic security, which can be connected to integrated rural development for the people in this region.
In addition, on 11 September 2022, Ms. Sirikan Prasertying, Director, Office of International Cooperation, visited the Mab Ueang Agri-Nature Centre, a farm with a focus on education and diversity outside of Bangkok, Thailand. The Sufficiency Economy Philosophy is built on decades of study and advocacy in agriculture and culture by the late King Bhumibol. This hypothesis was developed by King Bhumibol to assist Thai farmers who are impacted by the economic downturn, natural catastrophes, and other unfavorable environmental factors.
