On October 11, 2023, the International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) organized a research and academic meeting with the Trade, Investment, and Innovation Division of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) at the ITD the 8th floor of Vidhayabhathana Building, Chulalongkorn University. The meeting included a roundtable discussion with attendees from both organizations.

The meeting addressed issues relating on ITD and UNESCAP have been collaborating on several initiatives. Key attendees included Dr. Rupa Chanda, Director, Trade and Investment and Innovation Division, UNESCAP and Mr. Yann Duval, Chief, Trade Facilitation Unit, Trade and Investment and Innovation Division, UNESCAP.

The ITD delegation was led by Mr. Montri Mahaplerkpong, Board Member of ITD, Dr. Darmp Sukontasap, Board Member of ITD, and Mr. Suphakit Charoenkul, Executive Director of ITD. Other prominent members, including Lt. Punrop Rajapongsa, Ph.D., Director, Office of Trade and Development Capacity Building, ITD,  Ms. Sirikan Prasertying, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and staff from ITD were also present during the meeting.
