January 24, 2025 – The International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) welcomed H.E. Mr. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Thailand, to discuss bilateral trade and regional connectivity opportunities. The meeting was led by ITD Executive Director, Mr. Suphakit Chareonkul, and Deputy Executive Director (Academic), Mr. Wimon Punkong. Discussions focused on Bangladesh’s role in BIMSTEC and SAARC, the proposed Bangladesh-Thailand Free Trade Agreement, and opportunities for collaboration in research and capacity-building initiatives.
